Licensing & practising valuation
A practising valuer must hold the applicable annual certificate of practice. A valuation firm—formed as a partnership of two or more practising valuers—must hold an annual licence of practice, and each partner must hold an individual certificate of practice. A temporary certificate of practice may be issued to eligible non-resident professional valuers for specific work or a defined period. Refer to sections 23–27 of the Act.
